JV Volleyball Defeat Marshall

The Western JV volleyball team battled through their first conference match against a talented Marshall on Wednesday evening. The Panthers came out slow lacking energy and lost the first set 25-22. After fighting back at the end of the first set Western was ready to go for set two and took the win 25-12 thanks to some big kills from Shelby Smith and awesome defensive work from Alyssa Patrick and Delanie Sauceda. The third set ended 15-11 giving Western a big first win in conference play. Next up the JV volleyball team will travel to Hastings on Wednesday September 18th. Go Panthers!
