8th Grade Football Battled Marshall

The Western 8th grade football team travelled to Marshall to take on the Red Hawks on Wednesday night, and unfortunately were sent home with a 14-8 loss. Our Panthers played hard the entire game and had a chance late in the game to score the tying TD.
Western scored on a 32 yard halfback pass from Logan Young to Jett Archer and that was followed by a strong 2 point conversion run from Dom Galloway.
The Panthers were paced offensively by Young and Galloway with strong running all night.
Defensively the Panthers were led by Daltin Sands who was all over the field and had a huge fumble recovery. Logan Young and Ethan Harris had interceptions to help the Panthers cause.
Western's record drops to 0-2 on the season and they will host the Northwest Mounties on Wednesday, September 25th. The 8th grade game begins 15 minutes after the conclusion of the 7th grade game that begins at 4:30pm.
