Parma Western Girls Track & Field: Individual Excellence Shines!

Our Women's Varsity Track & Field athletes delivered a solid performance at their most recent meet, with standout individual efforts and personal records across every event categoryβfrom sprints to distance to field events.
β‘οΈ Sprints & Hurdles:
- Aykina Weatherspoon led the way with 1st place finishes in both the 100m and 300m hurdles, each with new PRs.
- Lydia Coleman sprinted to 3rd in the 100m dash with a season record.
- AnnaKay Marshall secured 2nd in the 200m and also placed in the high jump.
- Jillian Barnes, Jillian Rowdon, and Ella Wilcox all recorded PRs in the 100m, 200m, or 400m events.
πββοΈ Distance Events:
- Natalie Kuhl had a strong double, placing 2nd in the 1600m and 3rd in the 800m, both with season-best times.
- Bridget Fullerton ran a PR in the 1600m to take 3rd, and also competed well in the 3200m.
- Melaina Magnusson took 2nd in the 3200m, followed closely by Emma Lee and Jillian Rowdon, who both earned new PRs.
π₯ Field Events:
- Addison Singleton dominated the throws, placing 2nd in discus and 4th in shot put.
- Camryn Boldt and Natalie Kuhl both cleared 7'0" in pole vault, with PRs.
- In the high jump, Ella Wilcox, Lillian Coppernoll, and AnnaKay Marshall all cleared 4'6", earning 3rd place finishes.
- Suzanne St. John and Emma Wells had standout performances in the long jump, both hitting new personal bests.

Across the team, dozens of athletes hit new personal records. From freshmen making their mark to upperclassmen sharpening their best performances, this team showed their dedication and drive. These athletes continue to represent Parma Western with heart, hustle, and Panther pride!
