Western’s track and field teams traveled to Olivet Friday night to compete in the Joe Pedalty Olivet Lions Relays. The the team performed well overall, and finished third in the team scores.

    Finishing first in the distance medley was the relay team of Seth Good, Titan Parker, Ryan Good, and Edison Lopeman, as they ran a time just a few seconds off the national qualifier. The 4x400m relay team of Seth Good, Jackson Jones, Michael Brant, and Ryan Good also finished in first place. Their blazing fast time of 3:27.88 is the fastest so far this year in Michigan's Division 2.

    At relay invitationals the field events use combined heights or distances to calculate places. Double winners for Western were AJ Scutt and Brennan Vainner in the discus and the shot put.
