Western 12  AAFGR 7

Cody Spitzer picks up the victory on the mound for the Panthers as Western defeats FGR 12-7 at Eastern Michigan University.  Chase Budd came in as relief to complete the victory for Western. The pitchers only allowed 3 hits in the contest.  The Panthers tallied 14 hits in the contest as Lincoln Levy led the way with 4.  DJ VanRiper, Luke Nally and Cody Spitzer each collected 2 hits.  Luke Herrington, Andrew Parrott, Jackson Luke and Brody Parrott each picked up one hit.  11 RBI’s were tallied as VanRiper (3), B Parrott (2) A Parrott (2) Levy (2) and Spitzer (2) did the damage. Levy went for a triple, double and two singles in the contest. Western was able to swipe 6 bases as VanRiper and Herrington each had two.  Game 2 was delayed by the rain and lightning and then called due to time of night.  Western will travel to Hastings on Tuesday for conference play.
